Subject: Intro and '87 Golf Console Computer in a Vanagon?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="ISO-8859-1"

Hello!

I'm new to this list. Just purchased an '87 Vanagon Camper 2.1L from the Buslab guys here in teh Bay Area. They buy vanagons, fix them, and sell them with a gentlemen's warranty to fix anything that is broken or that goes wrong in the first two months. So far, so good, they've already taken the van once to fix all the additional thing I found missing/broken/strange. If anyone's interested, I'll post their info.

Anyway, my previous car was an '87 Golf Gti, and I was wondering if there are anyway I could take out the computer in there and add it to my Vanagon. Has anyone done this before? Of course, some of the stuff might be tricky to connect, but things like the temp, oil temp, water temp, clock might not be too hard to get to work.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Philippe
