Zoran,

My brother-in-law is an assistant manager at one of the Discount Tire locations, so I called him to ask about the pricing that you mentioned.

He looked up his regular price, and it came to right at $100.00 per tire. Discount has over 500 locations country-wide, so availability shouldn't be a problem for most of us. Discount has available a pro-rated road hazard coverage. If I'm not mistaken, this is an additional few bux per tire, and is a great deal if you travel or live near where a Discount store is.

He's going to get me his personal e-mail address at his store if you want to contact him with any questions, and I'll post that to the list as soon as I get it.

He says that Big O tires are franchises and that any one of their stores can set its own prices, but Discount owns all of their own stores, so policies are pretty well standardized.
