Subject: Tach wire - 84 Wolfsburg
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Volks:

I know this sounds like a stupid question, but:

What color is the tach wire in the engine compartment? Bently doesn't list it for the 84 and for 85 up it's green. There's no green wire in my engine compartment. I've looked at the 14 pin connector on the instrument panel. Pin #9 appears to be pink/black. I've pulled the engine and now have 3 wires that all look the same. Maybe pink/black or maybe faded red/black all from the main wiring harness.

One of them doesn't have current with or without the ingition on. Is this it? It's all by itself with a single spade connector.

Any help would be appreciated.

Shawn Clark 84/90 Westy/Soob
