Dave,

Go to this site. http://www.volksteile.de/com/index.html There are PDF files you can down load. On that page you can down load one for the wasser boxwe motor. The first page has a listing of the 10 Wasser boxer engine codes and the power out put of each.

Is there somewhere on the 'net that I can find a table of engine codes and specs (no matter how brief; even 1.9 vs 2.1 Liter would be good)?

The Vanagon I'm considering buying is an '86 and might have either size. I'm sure one or more of you could reply with the size if I post the code, but showing the seller a printed page of some table would appear more "authoritative" than an e-mail from a list member. Sorry if this seems a bit rude, but while I take information from the list as quite authoritative, others are not quite so easily impressed.

Any sites you can suggest?

(Or can someone scan the table from the Bentley and e-mail it to me?)

Thanks, Dave -- Dave Carpenter
