Jerry, That's how I did it on my 85 and it was pretty easy. I did have the hoses disconnected, but as I recall, there was room to do it even with hoses connected. Did it by myself. Was a little tricky getting it back in because that thing is heavy, but no real problem. Will be heavier with coolant in it.

BTW, Why are you removing the fan to check? Does it appear to work? Peter

<< Another question!

I want to remove and check the rad. fan on my '90 Westy (A/C). How far down do I have

to lower the radiator (with coolant and A/C hoses connected) to be able to remove the

fan shroud?

I was going to try to do it without raising the front end, by putting a small floor

jack with a support bracket under the radiator, but the range of lift or lowering is

not very much, so I am not sure I can get the shroud down and out. Getting to the

bolts that hold the shroud on is another problem.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Jerry
