My buddies here in Austria and Germany tell me that there were, in fact, VW Transporters produced with a 112 HP wasserboxer engine... standard. I was under the impression that it was a 2.1 liter though.. and had not ever heard of a 2.2 liter. Sorry, but I do not have the technical details... but I honestly do not think that this guy is just making this up.
