BusFusion is coming once again. May 30, 31, June 1, 2 at the North Lanark Agricultural Society's Almonte Fairgrounds along the scenic banks of the Mississippi River in downtown Almonte ward of Mississippi Mills, Ontario. Again in conjunction with Artsfusion a premier festival of local artisans that brings together art forms of every imaginable type for four days of great things to do. BusFusion is sponsored this year by four well-known Volkswagen clubs. The Capital City Volkswagen Club (CCVWC), the International Westfalia Camping Car Club (IWCCC), the Late Model Bus Owners International (LiMBO) and the Westfalia Owners Travel Club (WOTC). Registration for BusFusion 2002 is $20 if paid before May15th. Afterwards the fee will be $25 and can only be paid at the gate. The fee will include a BusFusion T-shirt and Dash plaque with an all-new design, and one ticket for the door prize draw. The Almonte Fairgrounds will once again serve as our campgrounds. There is potable water and electricity. There will be more porta-poties than last year and hopefully there will be on site showers in addition to the ones at the local arena for our use. The cost of camping will be $15/nite. Planned BusFusion events in addition to all the Artsfusion offerings will be the Volkswagen Van Painting Contest and parade, a Volkswagen oriented flea market, a communal dinner with door prize draw, a bicycle tour, and an all Volkswagen vehicle show put on by the Capital City Volkswagen Club, the Ottawa New Beetle Club, and Ottawa Vdubing. And, don't forget your canoe to take a paddle in the Mississippi. Friday evening as part of the Artsfusion events, in the Agricultural Hall there will be a concert given by Lynn Miles, a well-known Canadian Folk Artist. Then on Saturday evening there will be a steak barbecue and dance put on by the North Lanark Agricultural Society in the Agricultural Hall. Tickets for these two events will go fast so plan ahead. For more information and to make reservations see the BusFusion website at www.BusFusion.com, or contact Frank Condelli by phone at 613-256-6763 or email at BusFusion@aol.com.
