Hi List,

I sent the seller an email, asking what other options he had available as far as engine rebuilds/upgrades go, and as it turns out, the seller is Ken Morgan--He looked over my old '85 at one point (I didn't have the cash to put in a new motor unfortunately) and I referred several friends here in Denver to him a few years ago who got very solid work done on their Westies. I think he moved away for a few years but I'm glad that he's back in Denver...I might need his help very soon if the antifreeze stains are telling me what I think they're telling me!

This was his response:

Hi Joe,

Yes, you have multiple options.... I can put you into a Remanufactured 1.9 Liter like what came in your unit for $1,500 and that includes shipping anywhere in the continental U.S. - You can also upgrade to a 2.1 Liter for $2,500, again that includes shipping.... there are some cheaper engines on the market, I know, however each of ours is hand built, one up, to ensure individual attention and all have standard cranks.... there are some econo rebuilds available as well from time to time but these are not typically built to run the "long haul"

There is no core charge but we are interested in your old engine depending on its state...

Hope I have answered all your questions...

Thanks for the inquiry, ken morgan euro cars, inc.

I think the big question would be, does anyone in Denver know who the heck Eurocars Inc. is? They are the folks who supposedly have done the rebuild on this engine. I am betting that I know who it is, but I want to see if someone on the list can confirm my hypothesis.

Anyone in Denver know these folks or could check them out for us? Here is their address from the auction: Euro Cars Inc. 7667 E. Iliff Ave. Unit G Denver Co 80231

Just came across this on Ebay and wondered if anyone on the list can shed more info on the builder and/or engine. Sweet! Claims to be a 2.2l with 115hp. ... and the thread continues.
