Subject: water pump problems

I'm a newbie to the list and to Vanagons, so thanks to all who help us out. We had the water pump replaced but the mechanic never bleed the system. The van was then driven for about 600 mi. When I went to bleed the system myself because the coolant light was blinking, nothing happened, no bubbles, no coolant. I assume the water pump is dead (coolant tank is full) and just would like a second opinion. Thanks to all who respond.

Jason
