on the sound dampening idea; any recommendations on material? jute, micro jute, dynamat..... ? as for the cyclic idle, anywhere i can get more specifics? being new to the water cooled vw i could use as much data as possible when speaking with my new local mechanic. maybe i've got everything i need. let me know
