Thanks for the info.  Is it possible for the propane guy to overfill my
tank using the autofill valve?  If it is overfilled, will it just kill any
new regulator I buy?

   I remember from welding class, old Mr. B. used to tell us that the
acetylene had to be opened all the way because of that valve seat
arrangement.  He said to open the oxygen only 1/4 turn because its valve
didn't have that "all the way open" kind of seat.  Only 1/4 turn so you
could close it fast in an emergency.
