Have the chance to buy the above mentioned Jetta, but the milage is a bit
daunting - 181K.  Price is right -- $1k -- but my gut's telling me there's
more than meets the eye on this one.


PO claims head and head gasket changed, new water pump, new timing belt,
new injectors and injector seals.  At idle, the car has a bit of blue
smoke...  Everything else - body & interior - is okay, if not in great
condition for the miles.


Interested in hearing pros and cons...


This vehicle is necessary as I need to take my bus, Phred, off the road to
do some major work (both heads (at least) and some body work). (Obligatory
van content...)
