I have a Polk Speakers all throughout my van, EX402a'a (4inch coax) and db6520's (6.5 inch coax's). The 4's are in the factory spots, and the 6.5s had to cutout a new place for them in the front door panels and on the panel under the rear bench. They're driven by a 4 channel MTX4300X amp that is mounted underneath the driver's seat. Another MTX2300X channel amp sits under the passenger seat which drives a 12" sub in a sealed box that sits in the back behind the bench. Any speaker with a larger/stronger magnet structure than the factory ones will do better, just make sure the back depth and front extrusion don't exceed the space. I don't know the exact measurements, but I do know the Ex402a's I have fit perfectly with the grills. Too bad they don't make the 402a's anymore.
