Hi Gang... More starting frustration... Replace the ignition switch this weekend, and still intermittent starting. Guess that means it's the starter/solenoid. Is replacement on a syncro (w/ a Tiico engine) something any bozo w/ a couple wrenches and jackstands can do, or is it so treacherous a job that I need to take it to a pro? Looking at it, the job seems quite simple, save for one problem- ACCESS. How do I get to the various bolts/ nuts? Has anyone done a write up on starter removal/replacement on a syncro (I tried searching the archives and came up blank). I think that the syncro is the issue, not the fact that it's a Tiico replacement. Also, any suggestions on the most reliable starter/solenoid combo w/ which to replace the stock setup?? Thanks...
