The van's front wheels do not leave the ground, as can be seen by checking the relative positions of the front tires with the bottom of the film frames (fixed camera). Its rear wheels do, but that's not the point. In the second image in the strip it can be seen that the Volvo has collapsed, with the cabin dipping more strongly toward the front than nosedive due to compressed suspension could possibly account for. Look at the image of the Volvo afterward... the front is crushed RIGHT back to the windshield and beyond. The Volvo's famed "safety" cell has failed utterly.
