here's what "The Pocket Ref"* has to say..."the code is XXYY MMM999. The XX is the manufacturer, the YY is the tire size. MMM is the optional tire code and the 999 is the date of manufacture. Of the 3, the 1st 2 are the week, the last is the year. i.e. 269 = last week of June 1999. If the last group is 4 numbers, 1st 2 are week, 2nd 2 are year.
