Welcome to the list. I'll see if I can answer a couple of your questions below: > actually i have all the fuses in the case except by one, and when i put a > fuse on it, the fan in front of the van starts running (and the keys are in > my pocket!). i dont know if i should put a lower fuse or a higher one!this > fan what is it for; for the ventilation, i suposse.hoe does it work?and why? This fan is controlled by a temperature sensor somewhere and should run (if the engine has reached the correct temperature) even without the keys. Not having this fan working is DANGEROUS to your engine, and will potentially cause overheating!! > but that isn,t my biggest problem now. the biggest problem is in the gear > box, but not in the back of the van(near to the engine). for what i see the There are parts inside of this "cube" which can be replaced (they wear out), but your problem is most likely that the linkages need to be adjusted. (the "sticks" as you called them). There are a couple of places for adjustment, and it cannot really be addressed in a simple e-mail. If you get a copy of the Bentley Manual (available at many book sellers) it will help by describing the process for this adjustment. For an easy-to-use guide to all the parts in there, check out http://catalog.exist.ru > p.d:is it a vanagon, a camper, or a vanagon camper, or what?!! Let me guess - is it noisy and smelly? ;-) "D" stands for diesel. The 1600 is a four-cylinder diesel (at least here in North America). Brent Christensen '89 GL Syncro Westy Santa Barbara, CA |
