He isin fact talking about something *other* than the Vision Plus lights,
Joel. The Vision Plus lights are basically a DOT-certified lens with a
replaceable bulb element. They do not have the same lens as the E-Code
lamps. He is talking about E-code lamp housings, which are technically not
"legal" here in the States (this is why Hella makes the Vision Plus lamps -
as a DOT-legal "upgrde" from sealed beams)
I think what I have heard is that the "Vision Plus" lamps are a step above
the stock sealed beams, but that the E-code lamps are another cut above
those.
Haven't tried any of them myself, other than renting cars in other countries
and always noticing how much better their headlights work...
