Of Course, as you are aware, your experience is quite different from mine. In the archives (sigh) I detailed some crude experiments regarding window retention and sealing.

Just do the job right. Buy the trim from any of the List Vendors, get the molding insert tool, set up with some soap or WD40 and go to it. A several hour job. The results will be well worth it.

For the "been there, done that, just yank it" crowd, on your next trip to the boneyard, pop a window, pull the rubber strip and look at the cross-section. The strip is a locker.
