Check all of the grounds in the Fuel injection system. If your mechanics do not have the schematics, both the Bentley and the Haynes manuals have them.

Next check/replace your ignition switch. Your symptoms can come from having too many keys/bowling balls/lucky charms on your key ring, thus wearing out the ignition switch as that massive weight sways and wiggles in traffic, destroying the delicate innards of the switch. Take all such crap off you r key ring to prevent recurrence.
