Subject: Clanging Reverse Solved, thanks archives!

She'd been clanging bad in reverse, popping out of gear, barely able to even get her into reverse... Archives said possible motor mounts. I slid underneath and found the lower two bolts holding the tranny to the motor to be loose...one is snapped and stripped, the other just missing the nut. I replaced the one nut, so now I have 3 out of 4 cranked down tight - reverse problem solved. Hoping to get a few thousand miles before dropping the tranny to replace the 4th bolt.

Also replaced a leaky slave cyl - what a pain. Much easier to take the mount off completely. Smooth shifting now though...

Thanks list,

jeff
