Please, folks, the Vanagon, as with ALL of VW's light vans (ie not the LT) *IS* a Type 2 (Transporter)! The Type 2 IS the Transporter; some versions are merely given a secondary name such as Kombi, Samba, Vanagon or Caravelle. Despite the T3 not being MARKETED in USA as a Type 2 or Transporter, it is nevertheless.
