Subject: OT, brake question for a 2001 TDI Jetta
Content-type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII

This is off topic, but....

Any one had any experience with either the Zimmerman cross drilled rotors, or the ATE power disk slotted rotors on a Jetta 2001 TDI?

The front stock rotors have warped, and I am somewhat leery of putting stock rotors back on the car, since they do not seem to hold up (hit the brakes hard for about 1 to 2 seconds to avoid hitting a car on the local interstate, and they have been slowly getting worse since then). VW will not replace them under warrenty (23+ k miles on the car).

Please reply off list to me, hfleming@Moosebird.net.

Until this gets fixed, guess I will be driving my 85 Vanagon to work for a bit.... (vanagon content....).

Thanks Howard
