By popular demand, this is what I have...

I bought these at Big O tires, here in the Phoenix area. They are an inexpensive brand, Max Miler, and they are made in Indonesia. That may be a house brand for all I know. They are 185R14C 8ply LT radials (tall skinny tires). The plys are steel, polyester, and nylon. The sidewalls are 2 ply polyester. It is rated max load 1875 at 65 psi. Nothing fancy on the tread, but here in Phoenix I don't really think about rain and snow. I don't know if they are noisy, because the wind whistling through the seals and the radio are all I hear. I would like to share how many miles you can expect from them, but given the alignment problems I had and some parts wearing out, I think I got 35000 or so before re'tire'ment. I got them for $50-55 each. The price they quoted me last time was higher, but I told them what I paid last time and they gave it to me for that price. I don't know if they are on the web or anything.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
