The post about the black rubber floor mats and the response from Chris brought my need to mind. I've been trying to find a source for the gray tweed upholstery. I have a drivers seat that is becoming worn and the padding is showing. I would like to either 1. replace the upholstery, 2. replace the seat or 3. (least favorite option) find a seat cover to fit. Of course, the VW dealership is no help.

I love my van, especially the black rubber mats all the way around, I haul all kinds of stuff in it, then park it on the side of the curb with the sliding door on the downhill side and carefully hose it out. It's wonderful. I've hauled dirt for a retaining wall, lime for soccer fields, mulch for gardens , you name it, I've hauled it in my Vanagon.

Any ideas for an upholstery source?

Thanks, Karen
