The diesel engines in 18 wheelers with turbo chargers use the same oil that you do. The diesel engines in tug boats and shrimp boats with engines having pistons 15" inches in diameter and a twenty foot long crankshafts run the same oil that you do. Giant earthmovers with twin blowers on them use the same engine oil as we do. The automobile is the easiest oil specification to meet.
