Subject: Other Engines and Calif Smog and AC?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed

I'm learning from this list that one can put Subaru and turbo Diesel engines in a Vanagon. How does this affect the California Smog requirement? Do you have to keep all the original VW smog stuff, or just the smog equipments that was originally on the car with the donor engine?

Can you still have air conditioning?

Sorry if this is a basic question, but I'm just learning. Dave
