Subject: Am I asking too much for my van?
Content-type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

I'm asking $4500 for it, and here's what it is.

Pastel White with P89 option group (rear wiper and AC), 210,000 miles

Engine: 2.1L waterboxer, heads recently replaced (195K), CB Performance 1.25 ratio rockers, custom intake with K&N filter, custom exhaust (carsound cat and magnaflow 2.25" muffler), NOLOGY ignition coil booster, Setrab 10 row air/oil cooler with thermostatic sandwhich plate in addition to factory water/oil cooler, Valvoline VR1 20W50 racing oil

Transmission/Clutch: 4 speed, 84 model year rebuild from Rancho Performance (very good rebuilders), they told me it was the strongest factory 4 speed for the vanagons (only ~15K on the rebuild), clutch replaced at the same time (Sachs)

Suspension: front/rear properly aligned, front ball joints in good order, springs in good condition, Monroe gas shocks

Brakes: front pads recently replaced (PBR Metal Masters), rears about half worn on the shoes (Raybestos)

Wheels/Tires: 16x7.5 Ronal 7 spokes (silver), Kumho Ecsta 711 in 225/50VR16 - about 5000 miles left on them, these tires only last about 25-30K miles at the most on this vehicle since it's so heavy but the handling is worth it

Body/Paint: Front bumper needs some work, Rear bumper just straightened/painted from recent rear end accident (minor damage), 2 rust areas in window seal/seam on windshield by driver wiper arm and lower rear corner of drivers side sliding window, slight body damage on left rear fender lip and right front (barely noticeable), clear coat on front facia peeling in some areas, paint is in good condition

Glass: Drivers side low beam and Passenger side high beam cracked, no hole just cracks, taped up, Windshield recently replaced - slight tint, all other windows not cracked, SolarGuard Tint - Charcoal, 40% on the fronts and 4% on everything back of that.

Interior: Grey velour surfaces, driver's seat has about 4 inch round tear in seat cushion on left side, and rear bench back has small 2 inch slit in middle (not noticeable) otherwise clean and no smell, rubber floormats in good condition except for small tear in area between front seats (black duct taped and glued), rear facing jump seats are missing side plastic aesthetic coverings, all seat belts working and in good condition, rear overhead AC duct slightly cracked (was replaced on recall and then broke again), AC not functioning, (compressor removed, not sure what the problem is), Front foot area heater control lever stuck (flap mechanism needs repair), heater works fine, custom gauges installed (VDO tachometer in stalk mounted cup next to instrument cluster, VDO voltage and 80psi oil pressure gauges mounted in plate underneath heater controls), aluminum brake and clutch pedals pads

Sound System: JVC KS-RT626 tape player head unit (CD changer hookup available), BOSS AVA-1208P Preamp (MAIN Vol, Fader, Sub EQ/Vol, 4 band parametric EQ), MTX4300 4 channel amp, MTX 2300 2 channel amp, Polk Audio Speakers (4 EX402a - 4" coax, 4 db6520 - 6.5" coax, 1 MOMO 12" 4ohm subwoofer), Lightning Audio 1 farad stiffening cap, Monster Cable wiring throughout

I have had this van since 1995, it had about 90K miles on it and was basically stock. Most of the modifications were done by me. The engine oil has been changed every 3K miles and the coolant flushed as needed. It is currently my daily driver. I am in Southern California, PLEASE email me if interested, price is negotiable!

-Joe
