Subject: tires front or back?

I have a new question for the list about tires. The chief financial officer has given her approval for the purchase of two new tires for the van. I currently have 205/70-R14 reinforced tires and realy need to replace only two . My question is do i buy the proper size an load 185 R14 Load D. ( if i do do they go on the front or rear) or just replace with the same size. I use this as my daily driver and I figure it would be a new subject to discuss. I guess i even could place the new tires on the same side to improve cornering. ; ) ... but i am not that crazy.
