     I just got this e-mail from an importer:


"I have just rec'd an offer for five brand new 5 speed transmissions from
VW South Africa with a 4.57 ring and pinion. This is a true overdrive.
The price is $2375.00 plus freight from Houston.."


 Any guesses as to what your rpm/speed would be?  Is this a good deal?  Not
that I could afford it now, but I would like to know what anyone thinks.
