I've heard a lot of good things about the 3M invisible bra material from people on the Mercedes ML list - if my front end wasn't already pitted I'd seriously consider it instead of a bra. A lot of these guys use it; some companies sell kits with precut pieces for particular applications.

A few companies make it: www.stongard.com www.invinca-shield.com www.xpel.com www.autobahnd.com (northeast area only)

It's important that you find an installer you're comfortable with if you do go through with it. Cost of materials is roughly $150 (on an ML). Most of it is relatively difficult labor (sorta like applying tint film).

I was at my pal's shop in Minnesota observing a TIICO conversion, and noticed that the Van had something that 3M calls an "invisible bra". Anyone ever try it? it's some sort of clear poly shield that is on the front of the Van, looks like it almost a large clear sticker. Looks cool. Looks like it'll last and protect. The bra was on for about 5 years (so I was told) - looked great, as did the pain underneath...
