You know for a couple of years here in California in order to get your car registered you had to have proof of insurance. Now when I get my DMV registration, there is no proof of insurance required....just the smog "test only" stuff meaning I have to take my 85 westy to a state operated test facility which is very strict on all equipment and venting, vacuum tests on the gas cap...anyway the thing I am trying to say is that it seems that it is more important to bust someone for having a car that might have engine mods or isn't quite running clean rather than have cars on the road that are driven by people who are actually are financially responsible if they cause damage to your car or to you and your loved ones.....isn't the ACLU wonderful.....hey maybe if I go downtown L.A. I can get a fake drivers license, fake insurance if pulled over and fake Social security cards while I'm there......might as well take advantage of a system that is so archaic it's dated to the 1940's.........where's the technology in the identification process.......and why is it so common for everyone to pay for uninsured motorists insurance like it is another insurance necessity....I guess in reality it is. Just on a Rant Malibu Tony.......tax payer and bearing the brunt for those who abuse our system........time for action |
