Ed, I have never actually had that type of repair done but when I did look into it one time, I was told that they will not accept responsibility if the process makes the problem worse and that there is a risk of that due to the high pressure that they exert on the windshield during the repair. Keep that in mind if that's the case with whoever you use to complete the repairs.
