Hey All! Thanks for all the suggestions so far about my rough running and loss of power problem, much appreciated! Fellow listee Dave Homer and I are getting together this week to check timing and vacuum advance, so that should help either solve the problem, or rule out some other factors. In the meantime, I need to install my new idle stabilizer control unit and plugs. (thanks Ken!) The van is an 82 california van (air cooled) A previous owner cut the whole issue out and hard wired the plugs together. Now I need to put the plugs back in, but I'm not sure which plug to put where. Three wires run to the hall control unit, and three wires run of to the distributor. The idle stabilizer has to plugs, a short one, and a long one. Can anyone tell me how to wire the thing? Should the wires coming from the hall control unit get the short plug, or the long plug? thanks again all. The list is wonderful! Greg. |
