Here's my list: Couscous: Light, cheap, good, cooks instantly, mix in a tomato bullion powder or dried refritos. dried refried beans (refritos) RAMEN!!! Tuna (best when mixed with the ramen) though trouble with the cans. Dried fruits and nuts. Rice- can cook at home and dry it then rehydrate out camping, or minute rice. Tomato bullion (powder or cubes) green tea - no sugar required, light, just put in hot water and strain with teeth. angel hair pasta - cooks fast but a water waster, stick with the couscous. packaged meals-not the camping stuff, but things like curry and the like. Oats (quick) Another thought I have considered is to fast on short trips.
