I see you already have a response explaining that the 'mystery' components are part of a cruise control system. You also said that you would be removing the cruise control. My advice is don't. I put many miles on my '85 Westy without a cruise control, and when I had to replace it (totaled in a rollover) I set a cruise control near the top of my requirements list. If the '90 Westy I purchased had not had a cruise contol on it already, I would have imediatley have added one. Boy, what a difference on a long trip. It no way interferes with day to day driving, but is an absolute joy on long trips. Keep it, get it working, and enjoy it. BTW, if it is an aftermarket unit, the 'box' looks like a Zemco, apparently no longer available in the US. That is what I have, it has a seperate stalk on the steering column, mine mounted below the turn signal arm. The factory intallation used a control that was interegral with the turn signal arm. There is a Zemco website in German, they are still in business.

Just for info, does anyone on the list have a manual for the Zemco cruise control? Not desperate for one, but would be nice to have a copy if anyone has it available.
