Joe,

I believe most of the vans are built in VW's facility in Hannover. The Syncros get drivetrains in Graz. I don't know where the Westies are assembled.

The Hannover Edition was affixed only to the Whitestar and Bluestar T3's. They are virtually identical to what we call the Carat models or the Wolfsburg Edition models in the US of that vintage. The emblem from what I saw in photos are essentially the Wolfsburg Edition emblem except it substitute the Hannover moniker for the Wolfsburg one. I'm sure it is mostly badge engineering on VW's part for their marketing department.

ps: T3 is the designation for the third generation VW bus which we in the US commonly know as the Vanagon series. Not to be consfused with the Type 3 which is a car line.
