Subject: Tires and spare tire compartment gas can
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Still waiting for the B.F. Goodrich tires from Winston today. I decided to get the spare out to drive the van to the Winston tire facility from the grocery store parking lot where it has been sitting for two days awaiting tires.

Not knowing the mechanics of how the spare tire compartment works I was not ready for it to crash down. Although I lost a few knuckle skins I can see why a few on this list wanted to use that spare tire gas can. Lots of space there to store something. too bad the spare tire gas can costs about $180.

Does anyone know of another gas can option that will fit there with perhaps the fill spout on the side so it will face up and not drain out accidentally?
