Go to the dealer.....they are less than $6 for a nice German oil pressure switch...if you are water cooled it's plated, with vanadium?....you know that gold stuff and the insert is a blue plastic indicative of water cooled..........air cooled has a white plastic insert.........and they come with a nice aluminum washer to seal against the case.......

Respond directly. I'm on the Digest and need to know before the FLAPS close.

Partners in grime:

My oil pressure switch is leaking. The one on the side of the case (between cyl 3 & 4). I went down to autozone and bought a couple of new ones thinking they would be the white variety as pictured in RMMW (056 919 081C). BD shows this part number to be side of case and a .3 bar switch. Looking now at the one I'm replacing, it's brown. Is that how a 056 919 081C is really color coded or does RMMW have it wrong. Autozone carries all "races", white, brown, gray, black. The local foriegn FLAPS also distinguishes them by color and does not know where they go. Which color corresponds to which oil pressure switch?

Tnx Steve
