Subject: '90 Carat Runs Rough...the epic continues...help??!!
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

I posted a question last week about my '90 Carat running rough after heads have been rebuilt...tonight the saga continues...

The original problem was that after re-doing the heads and re-installing engine the van runs VERY rich when it warms up...black,sooty exhaust. I forwarded the mechanic suggestions from the list...

He swears he has checked and re-checked the grounds, adjusted the valves, new o2 sensor, air control unit, and after reading over the emails he went back & went thru the grounds and wires again.

Ureeeeekaaa....he called and said it was running fine and was not sure which solution had cured it.

Well....I paid him...got about 7 miles away and it started running rough again! Seems if I stop & start again it runs ok briefly then loads up again...especially when I get up to 50+ miles an hour.

So..I limped it home and will limp it back to him tomorrow...does this sound like anything anyone out there has been thru??? Please send any and all suggestions.

Man...I'm really feelin' like I been ridden hard and put away wet!
