sounds like a bad oxygen sensor, temp2 or fuel pressure regulator. First unhook the oxygen sensor and drive it w/o one. It will run a bit rich, but shouldn't give much noticable smoke. I bet it's the oxygen sensor. Maybe it wasn't re-connected??? matthew
