It is out of a 1990 Transporter - it will fit all years of vans - I just remembered one of the problems though... it DOES require something to hold the back of it in place (up-right). So I take back that no extra hardware is required (hence the posting to the list). At the top corners of the seat there are some captive M8 nets that are supposed to line up with a piece of metal that sticks out from a barricade / wall that is directly behind the front seats. It would be possible to make this sort of arrangement, but a stock, two front seater can not be made into a three front seater - although the reverse is possible.

Sorry for the confusion.

David, If you are offering, what year was this out of, and what years will it fit?

When you say "no additional hardware is required, does this mean that it doesn't go all the way over to the driver's seat? Is there a gap between the driver's seat and the edge of the "double-wide"?

Thanks, Dave -- Dave Carpenter
