Did the installer also supply and make a profit on the engine? If not, than he is only responsible for his actual work. If his work was not defective, than the engine problem should not be his.

For those who don't remember, I have the 85 that got a new motor, developed air in the coolant, had heads R&R'd and problem persists. All this on a new motor with 6000 miles.

After talking to both the rebuilder and the installer (and subsequent Head R&R performer) both seem willing to try to resolve the matter.

The rebuilder has offered to recieve the motor and check for exhaust leak, or to have the installer pull heads and have a look himself. The installer (after recieving the certified letter, and a reminder from me that he is a lot easier to hold accountable) has said that he would like the van back to perform more tests.

I will be dropping off tomorrow, and they promise to get to it right away. WIll post updates as they come in.

Thanks for all your help. Peter
