Best modification I've done is to replace the dim green fridge LED with a
bright blue led. Blue for COLD... I was simple to do, got the led at radio
shack, Didn't care if the led was slightly overdriven since they have a life
of 100,000 hours. If my fridge is on 1000 hours a summer I still have many
years of life in the LED.

Procedure:

Take out the LED panel, unplug it.
Go to your workbench unsolder the green dim LED.
Replace with blue LED. Note polarity.  (Actually mine was the white radio
shack LED but was too blue for my other project.)
Reinstall.

15 minutes max.

Now I know the fridge is lit even in bright sunlight. Starts to glow on
ignition almost instantly. Now to replace the map lights with true white
LED's. I think it'll take six LED's per light to duplicate the lumens.

As an LED aside the Bright Light indicator is a blue bulb not an LED like the
other indicators. Per the Bentley.
