I have an 86 syncro. When i fill it up with gas it leaks. It appears to be coming from near the top, passanger front side. Ok, this if for a syncro where the gas tanks are very different than the 2wds. I looked in bentley (20.34 i think) and it shows a hose going to a vent. If this vent were the problem, can i get to that vent w/o dropping the tank? I would like to NOT drop the tranny if at all possible. Poking around in my nice clothes and clean hands i didn't strive to see the actualy leaking thing (duhhhh!). If i drive a bit and the gas sloshes around, it will leak and make drippy off of tranny shifter rod and cv joint. BUT if i just leave it in the driveway it will stop dripping (as it ain't sloshing anymore!) I had a leak a while back from the tiico installation. That was from a sassy drill bit- quick and easy fix. thanks matthew 86 syncro westy tiico 84 weekender Matthew Pollard "Racing with the wind and flirting with death Dept.
