Hi Volks, I didn't mean to sound wry earlier. Terry K. politely informed me that these tents are often sold for a small fortune, often up to $1,200 or so. Just wanted to be fair and also apologize for coming off a bit harsh. I sure miss that tent! Cheers, Tom N. [snip!] FYI: I sold one on ebay a couple of months back for 1/2 that price and felt it was a fair deal (college tuition money). Please do some market research before throwing away those hard earned greenbacks. Tom N. '85 Westy (300ZX Powered)
>And why would you want to spend the big money for a Vanagon, when you >could have a Chevette, and a motel room? Okay, we can all rip on the Corvair, but you have to leave my Chevette alone! :-) 180,000 miles, burns not a drop of oil, runs great, gets 40mpg. I use it to run to the parts store for my van and my Ford. Its always there when I need it. Picking on motel rooms is okay too, but leave the Chevette out of it <bg> BTW, $600 for a tent is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard of, even if you can drive away from it. Regards, John |
