The 75 hp is a non-TDi turbo engine. Stock head would not work. 1.9 NA is 66 hp. Jay

I haven't done the conversion but I think the 75 hp the engine produces is likely based partly on it's cylinder head and injection pump. If you use your 1.6 head and 1.6 injection pump, you may diminish the stated horsepower of this engine. You may invest alot of time to get your inj. pump trimmed out properly for this engine. Most likely, you will overfuel it to get the desired horsepower. The 1.9, no doubt, came with a different injection pump manufactured to specs for the 1.9 engine and it's application. Your 1.6 pump was manufactured for your application. 2 different apps, 2 different pump settings. How interchangeable? That's up to your injection pump professional and your engine tuning specialist. Good luck and please keep us posted. JB |
