Subject: Replacing the Air Flow Meter
Content-type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Folks,

Another question from "the other" Minnesota guy.

So, for no *real* reason i bought a new air flow meter on eBay. I figured my current AFM is original... and if nothing else, is due for a rest. May make no difference in performance/gas mileage... may solve everything. Truth is probably somewhere in the middle, eh?

My question: do i just swap and see what happens? Or should i be prepared to fiddle with the idle/mixture/CO adjuster, etc., etc. This includes Bentley's cryptic part about drilling out the CO cap, inserting a sheet metal screw and then pulling the cap off with the screw.

As always, many thanks.
