Regarding storing valuables. I have put a hasp and lock on the back seat so it can not be opened when locked. To make it stronger, use extra thick wood screws or toggle bolts to attach to seat. Also use bolts, not wood screws to attach to cabinet. I think this is a good deterrent, but certainly not fail safe.

Anyone had bad luck using a system like this?
