I can't say about the ping but Marvel Mystery oil will burn. It saturates carbon deposits and burns them off. I've been using this stuff since I was 16 years old and that was 1956. I say it does a lot more than they say it can do ........... but with all of the additives that have come and gone in the last 45 years I've got to say that it is Marvelous stuff just to have held its market share and stayed on store shelves. I've seen farmers, trucking companies, industrial plants with 5 gallon buckets of MMO sitting around with a hand pump in the pail. Gasoline is also blended for not only locality but is blended for the season and altitude. Got to remember they been making this stuff for over a hundred years now and apparently they've gotten good at it. My Westy runs better on fuel I buy 70 miles from Dallas. It just seems to reach its comfort level of 3300 rpms with less effort.
